Thank you for your interest in the Assistantship in Learning Technologies (ALT) Program at the University of Chicago Center in Paris. This site was created to provide additional information about the program as well as the requirements for applicants.

Program Description
The College of the University of Chicago is looking for a UChicago graduate student, fluent in French, to provide support for academic technology at the University of Chicago Center in Paris during the 2011–2012 academic year. The successful candidate will be trained during the Winter and Spring quarters of 2011 in preparation for his/her stay in Paris, France. The ALT Fellow will spend this Winter and Spring quarters developing skills in technical support, Chalk, Moodle, photography, video editing, and videography.

The ALT Fellow will then travel to the University of Chicago Center in Paris for the 2011–2012 academic year. Working with staff from College Information Technology, the ALT Fellow will develop collaborative and problem-solving strategies while supporting students and faculty at the Center in Paris.

Requirements
The program is open to any graduate student at the University of Chicago, fluent in French, who has completed one year of academic work on campus and can commit 10 hours per week during the Winter and Spring 2011 in Chicago, and 15 hours per week while in Paris.

A stipend, office space at the Center, travel and visa expenses, and housing are provided.
